to the Associate Director, the primary duty of the clinical case
coordinator is to track and coordinate referrals to the counseling
center from various campus partners and to assist in connecting clients
to appropriate resources. The person in this position will manage our
community referral database (Miresource) and develop liaison
relationships with community providers. The person is this position will
also provide limited direct clinical services to students and
occasional consultation to faculty and staff. The successful candidate
will have solid experience with discharge planning, collaboration with
university and community agencies, and working with families and other
social supports as appropriate. This person will be expected to have
strong general therapy skills including diagnosis, treatment planning,
and risk assessment as well as the ability to provide effective
treatment in a short term model (e.g., < 12 sessions). Therapy skills
should include the ability to work with a full range of clinical issues
and complex diagnoses. This position also includes various levels of
engagement within the university community through community
intervention, outreach, and development of liaison relationships with
campus partners. Finally, we seek candidates demonstrating clear

Creating and maintaining partnerships with campus and community
resources who may assist clients in reaching optimal functioning.
Developing and maintaining an accurate list of community providers and
referral information; e.g., maintaining Miresource program or similar.
• Providing some direct counseling services; especially same day brief screening interviews, and crisis intervention sessions.
• Providing some didactic training and consultation with trainees.
Participating in community intervention efforts including suicide
prevention training, stress management workshops, postvention support,
service on university committees, service as stand-by counselor for
selected events, development of liaison relationships, and assisting
with various university events.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the mission of the Student Counseling Center.

The Department: The
Student Counseling Center is a full-service collegiate counseling
center staffed by 11 licensed psychologists and 4 Master’s level
therapists. The center also supports a robust APA accredited training
program training 5 full-time interns and 8-12 doctoral psychology
trainees. The Center shares a state of the art facility with the Student
Health Center and the Center for Health Education and Wellness allowing
for a wide range of collaboration in programming and student care.
