Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Washington State University seeks a Counselor.

The masters level provider position provides clinical services including brief, focused individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis assessment and intervention. CAPS serves a diverse population of WSU Pullman students with the goal of enhancing their personal and academic success and reducing barriers to that success. These positions also provide professional consultation to WSU faculty, staff, and students regarding student behavior, mental health and academic challenges in order to enhance an inclusive campus climate for student success. Masters level providers may also participate in providing training and clinical supervision within CAPS training program.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Position requires a Bachelors degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience.
  • Experience leading or directing the work of others.
  • A Masters degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
  • Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year to year basis.
