An exciting opportunity exists for a NJ licensed psychiatrist or psychiatric advanced practice nurse to join Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Montclair State University.  Reporting directly to the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), the part-time psychiatric provider (12-15 hours per week Sept-May; 5-7 hours per week June-August) is responsible for consulting with clinical staff and trainees as well as evaluating and treating students engaged in brief psychotherapy.

License to practice in the state of New Jersey.


Multicultural expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to working closely and collaboratively with a clinical team are essential.  Expertise with Substance Use Disorder, medication assisted treatment and recovery support desirable.  Experience working with the college population, student assistance programs and other sources of medication funding is a plus.
