We are seeking outstanding
applicants with experience and passion in student development who have
practical knowledge of specialized needs in education and the ability to
provide comprehensive ongoing coordination of assessment, support and clinical
services. The Academic Advisor and Mental
Health Liaison works with students in two primary ways. As an Academic Advisor, the incumbent will be
responsible for academic advising of approximately 160 students each semester,
which involves assessing students’ curricular needs and opportunities and
placing them in appropriate honors classes.
As Mental Health Liaison, the incumbent will serve as the main point of
contact in the College for referring students, parents and staff to mental
health resources. This position represents the College in working with campus mental
health services and units, providing crisis interventions, response and
management to create a culture of wellness at SCHC.
