The IACS-accredited UCM Counseling Center is looking to expand its team in number and diversity of staff. 

The 9-month clinician works during the academic year and not in summer.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Brief clinical services to college students, including:

o   Initial consultation

o   Crisis intervention

o   Individual, group, and couples counseling

·         Services provided in-person or via telementalhealth as appropriate

·         Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical contacts

·         Outreach and psychoeducation on developmental and mental health issues

·         Consultation to faculty/staff, family, and friends of students of concern

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

o   Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work or related field

o   One year relevant clinical experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

o   Doctorate in Psychology or related field

o   Licensed for independent practice as Psychologist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist

o   APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at a university counseling center

o   Two or more years relevant clinical experience

Unlicensed applicants will be considered if there is qualified Counseling Center staff to provide supervision toward licensure.
