Columbia Health is among the nation's largest and most comprehensive student health programs. Our Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) which provides a broad range of mental health services to a highly diverse student population, seeks a licensed senior social worker for quality and risk management. Join our staff of more than 50 dedicated college health professionals to promote the psychological well-being of the Columbia student body through crisis intervention, consultation, liaison, coordination of care, case management, quality assurance, program planning and oversight, and related functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires New York State LCSW license. Minimum of 7 years related experience required with at least three years of acceptable clinical experience. Must demonstrate advanced diagnostic and clinical skills, particularly with respect to crisis intervention. Ability to work with serious psychopathology (e.g. suicidal and psychotic patients). Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including skill in preparing and delivering written and oral presentations. Experience in case management with demonstrable experience in quality assurance and compliance activities. Proven leadership abilities with outstanding organizational skills.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Psychiatric emergency room or similar setting and/or inpatient experience. Familiarity with local psychiatric resources and social services. Proficiency or demonstrated capacity to learn PowerPoint, Excel, and Qualtrics.
