We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Psychologist for our Counseling & Psychiatry Department who is interested in a full-time career in a large college health environment.  The candidate should be a strong generalist with experience identifying a broad range of presenting concerns, including but not limited to: mood disorders, adjustment disorders, eating concerns, substance abuse concerns, trauma, sexual assault, sexual orientation/identity concerns, men’s issues and LGBTQ concerns, and other developmental concerns of college students.

The selected Psychologist will provide care through a care-team model with other psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered dietitians and other allied health professionals. Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities independently and exercise discretion with respect to care and treatment, while ensuring services comply with accepted standards of practice, accreditation standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

The Psychologist will provide a broad range of culturally responsive services to students, including intake evaluation and assessment, treatment planning, and treatment provision within the modalities of individual, couples, and group psychotherapy and crisis intervention. In addition, the psychologist will provide psychological consultation to families, faculty and staff; training and clinical supervision to trainees and early career professionals; community-based services and participate in quality improvement activities. Position is subject to credentialing, privileging and peer review and considered essential personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

PsyD or Ph.D. in psychology from an accredited college or university and 1 year professional experience. Licensed or eligible for a license as a psychologist in the State of South Carolina. Must obtain and maintain credentialing and privileging throughout employment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a college/university counseling center and use of an electronic medical record are preferred.

 
COMPENSATION
$52,220 - 81,583. Please note that this salary is based on a 10.5 month position.
