Emmanuel College invites applications for the position of Staff Clinician, Coordinator of Training in the College's Counseling Center.  Responsibilities include individual (including tele-counseling)  and group counseling, emergency coverage and crisis intervention, clinical consultation. outreach, and programming and supervising practicum students.  In addition, this position coordinates the department's training program, helps coordinate prevention and outreach, and implements special projects.  The Clinician will also participate in the on-call emergency rotation.

Individuals must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, students, and other college employees.  A genuine commitment to social justice, which is consistent with the College's mission, as well as a demonstrated experience and skill in working with a diverse population are required.  Ability and willingness to accept responsibility as well as the ability to adapt to changing demands in a college setting are also necessary.  Experience in higher education or another institutional setting is preferred.

Our ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

PhD, PsyD or EdD in clinical or  counseling psychology or the equivalent.  Licensure in Massachusetts or license eligible (license completed within 9 months of date of hire) for the practice of psychology.  3-5 years of relevant professional experience, at least one of which must be post graduate degree.  On-call responsibility requires after-hours time.
