POSITION DESCRIPTION
Northeastern Illinois University is searching for one postdoctoral fellow for the 2021-22 academic year. This is a 12-month appointment and begins August 16th, 2021.
The focus of postdoctoral fellowship in Counseling Services involves the advancement of clinical and supervision skills, multicultural competency, and a professional identity as well as the accumulation of psychology licensure hours in Illinois. In addition, the postdoctoral fellow is encouraged to increase their professional independence and solidify their specialization in a university counseling setting. This is accomplished by joining the clinical team in a variety of activities, including:
-Direct clinical services (intake, crisis intervention, and individual, couples and/or group therapy)
-Provision of individual and/or group supervision as well as involvement with a training seminar and recruitment
-Outreach and consultation to the university community
-Clinical consultation
-Individual supervision and supervision of supervision
