Clinical position: Provides clinical services to Swarthmore students and consultation services to the entire college community. Requires the completion of Masters in Social Work or Doctoral degree in Psychology. A minimum of one year’s experience working/training in a college counseling setting is preferred, but equivalent experience with a young adult population will be affirmatively considered.
Responsibilities include intake, assessment and treatment planning, as well as provision of group and individual psychotherapy services, and on-call responsibilities throughout the school year. Reports to Associate Director. Position includes participation in all educational and outreach activities of CAPS.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and other diverse clients in a college counseling setting. Candidates must have proven ability to function as part of a team, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be well versed in cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic theories as demonstrated in course work and field placements.
