Provides multi-culturally and trauma-informed psychological services, urgent/triage risk assessments, individual psychotherapy and group counseling to students, psychological evaluations as necessary, and makes appropriate referral to other specialist.
Coordinates care for and education about mental health related issues in regards to Student-Athletes in keeping with NCAA best practice guidelines.
Intervenes in crisis and emergency situations of mental health nature with students during normal business hours. Provides telephone consultation during crises outside of regular business hours; comes to campus outside of regular business hours following extraordinary traumatic events. Shared responsibility for afterhours care night, week, and holiday coverage.
Consults with faculty, staff, students, families, and other professionals regarding the mental health needs of students and the college community.
Initiates and responds to requests to provide psycho-educational programming to various groups within the college community.
Attends and participates in clinical staff meetings, consultations, and professional development and assumes responsibility for other assignments including serving on divisional and college committees.
Provides clinical supervision and training to staff and trainees.
Maintains electronic clinical records and provides clinical documentation and communications with external practitioners as necessary for comprehensive ethical clinical treatment.
Others duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
This is a full time, exempt level, benefit eligible, 10-month position. Normal Office Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F, flexible to the needs of the department. This position will take part in evening, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation.
