Post-Doctoral Resident/Post-Internship Clinical Fellow EXTENDED

Michigan State University Counseling and Psychiatric Services (MSU CAPS) is excited to announce it is accepting applications for its Post-Doctoral Residency in Health Service Psychology. MSU CAPS has a long history of training and at its core is a training center focused on multiculturalism and social justice. We are committed to helping develop the next generation health service psychologists.

 

Position Summary

Michigan State University Counseling and Psychiatric Services (MSU CAPS) seeks to hire a Post-Doctoral Resident/Post-Clinical Fellow for the 2021-2022 academic year.

This position will provide services and receive training in multiculturally-focused, inclusive, collaborative, and integrated mental health environment. Applicants will engage in both experiential and didactic training that provide them expertise in working in collegiate mental health as well as a variety of other careers. Candidates will have the opportunity to choose from pre-determined concentration areas to develop specific expertise in those areas.

 

Each of the following concentration areas will be available for the applicant to select from upon acceptance of the offer:  Complex Trauma Assessment and Intervention; Collegiate Mental Health Administration; Multicultural Engagement and Outreach; Therapeutic Assessment and Psychodynamic Intervention.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Degree

Masters -Professional Psychology


Applicants must have completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship in professional psychology by start date. If a post-doctoral applicant, you must have graduated with a doctoral degree in professional psychology from an APA-accredited program and must be license eligible in the state of MI. If a post-internship applicant, you must currently be enrolled in an APA-accredited doctoral program in professional psychology and have “all but dissertation” status.

COMPENSATION

Benefits include:

A stipend of $45,000

22 sick/vacation days plus university holidays

Professional development funds and time

If a post-doctoral resident, we will pay the cost to become licensed in the state of MI.

2 hours per week to work on dissertation or study for EPPP
