This postgraduate clinical position is for a clinical or counseling psychology master's or doctoral level graduate who is seeking advanced training in providing psychological services in a diverse and dynamic community college. The position is full time (40 hours/week) for one academic year. The start date is August 30, 2021. The end date is July 29, 2022. The duties include: providing brief individual counseling; crisis intervention; case management; participation on campus behavioral intervention team; consultation and outreach with students, faculty, and staff; and other duties as assigned.

The postgraduate clinical position is designed to provide both generalist training and specialized experience working with a diverse population of community college students regarding a range of mental health and developmental concerns. The postgraduate clinical intern is supervised by a licensed psychologist.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D or Psy.D in counseling or clinical psychology, or an MSW, MFT or PCC graduate program before the start of the contract. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The strongest applicants will demonstrate a professional commitment and interest in university or college counseling centers and student development. Experience working with crisis clients and a diverse client population is preferred.

 
COMPENSATION

$37,500 (no benefits) for 11-month period
