Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) welcomes applications for an Assistant Director of the Behavioral Health Team to manage the operations of the team within the health service clinics at Medical Services. The Behavioral Health Team is comprised of multidisciplinary clinicians responsible for providing a range of services to support the mental health care of CU students who present to the medical clinic. 

This position provides development, oversight, and organization of all Behavioral Health services provided at CAPS/Medical Services. Services include crisis intervention and evaluation, brief assessments, interventions, and follow-up care, behavioral health-related workshops, and mental health consultation to medical services providers. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Associate Director of Clinical Services to continue to revise and develop clinic policies and procedures.

  • Licensed as a Psychologist or LCSW or LPC or LMFT in the state of CO by date of hire.
  • 2 years of professional experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment in a mental health setting as a licensed clinician. 
  • 1 year of supervisory experience, including providing group and individual supervision to staff. 
  • Experience providing crisis assessment and interventions. 
  • Experience providing consultations to faculty and staff. 
  • Experience providing brief therapy.
  • Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of CO by the date of hire.
  • Experience with Program Coordination and Development.
  • Two years' experience providing mental health services to a college or university student population.
  • Experience in data gathering and analysis.
  • Experience working within an integrated care model.

Starting salary is dependent on licensure and experience. For MSW/LPC's, salary range is $73,538 - $100,497; for psychologists: $98,942 - $135,214.
