POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Counseling Center (CC) at James Madison University (JMU) is accepting applications for a Staff Clinician/Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI ) Liaison. The CC has a commitment to diversity and multi-culturally competent professionals with the awareness, knowledge and skills required to work effectively with a diverse clientele and to enhance the CC’s diversity mission. Duties & Responsibilities:

The Staff Clinician is a 12-month continuing position that provides short-term individual, group and crisis counseling, after-hours coverage, consultation services and outreach programming, and training and supervision of graduate students and doctoral interns. In addition to these clinical responsibilities, this position will also work with international students, students of color, students from other marginalized or underrepresented groups, and other areas of DEI outreach as identified in collaboration with the CC’s DEI Administrative Coordinator.
