POSITION DESCRIPTION

SIU Student Health Services department of Counseling And Psychological Services maintains an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship and provides comprehensive mental health services to diverse students of a large state university. Staff provides individual, group, couples, and crisis counseling; community intervention and social justice activities; and supervises practicum students and interns.

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from APA or CPA accredited program (ABD acceptable).
  • Successful completion of APA or CPA accredited doctoral internship in professional psychology by start date of employment.
  • Eligibility for registration as a licensed psychologist in the State of Illinois within 12 months of start date of employment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed as a psychologist in State of Illinois or licensed psychologist in another state and is eligible to become licensed in Illinois within six months of employment. University or community health experience.

 
COMPENSATION

This is a 12-month, full-time appointment. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, professional liability coverage, and salary commensurate with experience
