Elon University is currently accepting applications for an Associate Director of Counseling Services.  Full-time, 12-month position within Elon University’s Counseling Services. The Associate Director supports the Director in coordinating all aspects of service provision within Counseling Services to ensure the department is fulfilling its mission provide quality psychological interventions, outreach, and consultation services to address the emotional, social, and academic needs of Elon University students. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field. Independent license to practice counseling or psychology in NC is required and must be maintained.  Minimum four years’ post-licensure experience providing clinical assessment and treatment of mental health concerns with young adult population, including previous experience in college/university counseling center.  The successful candidate will have direct supervisory experience.  Ability to work as a generalist within a brief treatment modality to provide culturally responsive and effective care. Demonstrated exemplary interpersonal skills, including effective collaboration, communication (written and verbal), decision-making ability, and conflict resolution. Ability to effectively manage crises and complex clinical situations. Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to enhancement and promotion of diversity and inclusion. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in a leadership role within a university/college counseling center. Two or more years of experience working in higher education. Experience utilizing brief therapy techniques. Familiarity with Titanium or other EMR system and HIPAA compliant technology for telehealth service delivery.
