POSITION DESCRIPTION
Michigan Tech and The Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being, a unit within Student Affairs, is seeking candidates to fill this position. This position plans and provides individual or group therapy, crisis intervention and workshops dealing with various issues relating to mental health and wellness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide confidential mental health counseling assistance to students and facilitate referrals to other agencies when appropriate.
Maintain clinical documentation.
Plan and implement group counseling programs.
Present workshops and guest lectures.
Provide outreach programming.
Provide crisis intervention with rotating on-call assignment.
Keep apprised of all regulations, i.e. mental health laws, federal guidelines and legal interpretations.
Participate on university committees as appropriate.
Provide consultation with faculty and staff as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
