Job Profile Title
Counseling Psychologist Senior

Job Description Summary
Student Health and Counseling, a division of Wellness at Penn, seeks a psychologist, social worker or other licensed counseling clinician with experience in college counseling and/or equivalent settings. Student Health and Counseling is composed of a multidisciplinary team of professionals including psychologists, social workers, counselors, consulting psychiatrist, nurses, physicians and trainees. Patient population consists of undergraduates, graduates, doctoral and professional matriculating students. Student Health and Counseling is seeking a generalist who can handle a wide range of student mental health concerns and who has a solid understanding of the impact of marginalization, inequality, and identity on students. This position reports to the Director of Counseling.

Job Description



Counseling Psychologist B: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling with 3 to 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Counseling Psychologist C: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree required in Psychology or Social Work, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania. Student Health and Counseling is seeking candidates with a solid understanding of how marginalization, inequality, and identity impact students. Foundation in multicultural counseling is strongly preferred. Experience with BIPOC, LGBTQ, and faith-based student concerns, eating-related concerns, and substance use is highly desirable. Expected to adopt flexible hours during the week to cover evening shifts. Some Saturdays, 10 am to 3 pm may be required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
