Student Health Partners Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) and the MSU Office of Veteran Services is seeking to fill an open psychologist position. The position is full-time for 10 months (August – May) and 20 hours/week in June and July. There may be flexibility to reduce the FTE for the summer months. We are seeking a generalist to provide multiculturally attuned services to students within an integrated counseling center with a particular interest in working with veteran and military-affiliated students. Individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provision of clinical services at CPS as well as at the Office of Veteran Services to veteran and military-affiliated students.
  • Outreach and prevention work with veteran students
  • Collaboration with staff from the MSU Office of Veteran Services
  • Provision of multi-culturally sensitive psychotherapy, crisis intervention (including after-hours on-call), outreach and consultation to the campus community as well as parent and family members, provision of supervision (after appropriately licensed) to doctoral interns in our APA accredited doctoral internship in psychology as well as pre- and post-master’s practicum students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program and completion of APA accredited internship. ABD considered with a clear plan for completion outlined by the applicant’s Chair.
  2. Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Montana, or eligible to take the Montana psychologist licensure exam no later than December 2025.
  3. Demonstrated clinical experience working with adults including crisis assessment and intervention.
  4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and support for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to and experience working clinically with veteran and military-affiliated adults and/or their dependents.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Licensed as a mental health professional in Montana.
  2. Post-doctoral clinical experience.
  3. Experience working in a university counseling center and/or demonstrated potential for the variety of tasks required.
  4. Experience providing outreach and consultation services to a university population.
  5. Clinical experience working with crisis intervention and risk assessment.
  6. Area of specialized interest in working with veteran and military-affiliated students.
  7. Experience working on an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
 
COMPENSATION

$70,818 annually (10 months 1.0 FTE, 2 months .5 FTE) plus benefits
