Senior Counselor (Staff Therapist) - 10-month position - Salary commensurate with experience- SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related mental health field plus at least 1 year of experience in a clinical/counseling position;
Licensed in New York State (LMHC, LCSW, CASAC, etc.).
Current New York driver's license.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of one year of experience as a therapist on a college or university campus;
Familiarity with the changing demographics and counseling needs of current and future students;
Skilled in consultation, brief therapy models, group therapy, and in providing innovative and inclusive outreach programming;
Training and expertise in issues involving stalking, dating violence, domestic violence, and sexual assault;
Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity, and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds; and
Training and expertise in working with clients who struggle with executive functioning deficits as well as students who are neurodiverse (such as individuals who have ADHD and/or have an Autism Spectrum Disorder)
Training and expertise in working with clients with disordered eating and body image issues
