The IACS*-accredited Counseling Center of the University of Central Missouri invites skilled and compassionate mental health clinicians to join the team in providing service to students. We aspire to be a staff that represents the diversity of our student body. Clinicians will join a team where the professions of counseling, clinical social work, and psychology are represented. *International Accreditation of Counseling Services
We are seeking to fill two Clinician positions. Responsibilities include direct clinical service, consultation, and outreach. The Diversity Clinician position has an additional emphasis on coordinating the center's efforts to address diversity and equity issues in the mental health needs of our students.
The University
Founded in 1871, the University of Central Missouri serves over 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students from the state, regional, and national levels; it has diverse representation of international students from nearly 50 countries. In addition to the 1,561-acre campus in Warrensburg, MO, UCM also offers classes online and at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee’s Summit, MO.
The Community
Warrensburg, a community of nearly 20,000 residents, is located 50 miles southeast of Kansas City and surrounded by verdant landscapes that include access to state parks and the Katy Trail. Family-owned farms contribute to the strong agricultural base, and civilian and military personnel serving at nearby Whiteman Air Force Base make valuable social and economic contributions to Warrensburg and to UCM. Recently, Warrensburg has seen significant retail investment and development that has provided popular amenities for locals and students. Nestled just steps from downtown, the university is a local source of pride. UCM’s community outreach enriches and renews this local relationship continually.
