Summary of Position
The Wellness Center at Keene State College is seeking applications from mental health professionals who have a strong team orientation, are committed to evidence-based treatment models, and are looking to apply their skills in a flexible, highly creative, and collaborative way with student at an optimal developmental window for growth and change. These are 81%-time benefited positions with appointment dates from August to May.
The Wellness Center is a very dynamic, creative, fun, and rewarding work environment. While the centerpiece of our work is providing direct care to students, there is plenty of opportunity to engage with colleagues within the Wellness Center and the broader campus community. We work to promote wellness orientation throughout the institution and to provide coordinated services to our students. Counseling staff provide training and supervision to graduate practicum students and actively collaborate with medical providers including a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Our strengths include a supportive collegial environment that helps team members identify and build on their specific clinical strengths, a growing group program, delivery of a range of mental and physical well-being programs in collaboration with campus partners, and a strong dedication to student well-being. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Operations, Counselor’s provide mental health services to enrolled students. Primary responsibilities are providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, performing initial evaluations, and providing crisis interventions. Additional responsibilities include providing consultation services to staff, faculty, and administrators; designing and delivering mental health programming and outreach services to the college community; and other duties as assigned.

Other minimum qualifications
Master’s degree in counseling, clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or other related fields; experience providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy; outreach; programming; mental health consultation; crisis intervention; and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
NH State professional licensure or license-eligible; experience in evidence-based treatment models and brief/intermittent service delivery; experience in an integrated health care setting; and experience supporting students with marginalized identities.

Salary is commensurate with experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off. These positions are part of the Keene State College Staff Association (KSCSA).
