POSITION DESCRIPTION
The psychologist in this position is expected to function as a professionally-responsible mental health care provider to UNL students by providing diagnostic services, treatment, consultation and education. Facilitating individual, group and relationship counseling sessions, the psychologist will engage student clients to establish therapeutic relationships that address the emotional, educational and developmental needs of students. Providing initial evaluations and crisis intervention services are essential to the position. This work requires the psychologist to perform routine case records management, consultation with professional colleagues, correspondence with and on behalf of clients, and interactions with other professionals in the University Health Center and across campus.
