The UCI Counseling Center has a long history of providing psychological services to the UCI campus community. UCI is a multiculturally rich environment, and the Center prides itself on a staff that is competent and diverse. The Counseling Center provides time-limited treatment, assessment, outreach, and crisis intervention to the campus community. The Center is a part of the Division of Student Affairs and has an APA-accredited psychology internship program.

  • Assists the Clinical Director in providing leadership, vision, coordination, and oversight for the UCI Counseling Center's clinical services and operations
  • Provides administrative leadership for the Counseling Center
  • Services as a member of the Leadership Team
  • Provides primary oversight of all clinical records and clinically related technologies (except electronic health records)
  • Provides supervision and oversight to licensed clinical staff
  • Collaborates with University Administrators to coordinate services and meet campus needs
  • Provides outreach, consultation, supervision, crisis response, and direct clinical services to a diverse student community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least three years of licensed clinical experience, including short-term individual, group, and relationship/conjoint psychotherapy
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program in Clinical or Counseling psychology
  • Licensed as a psychologist in the State of California
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health counseling methods and techniques, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and case management.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills to guide behavioral health providers on treatment methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate.
  • Demonstrated active listening, persuasion, and counseling skills.
  • Knowledge of business software, specialized applications, and EHR systems used in behavioral health centers/clinics.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a complex, challenging environment.
  • Ability to organize operations in an efficient and effective manner.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of human resources management practices and policies.

$106,000.00 - $145,000.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $87,200.00 - $163,600.00 (Annual Salary)
