POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Full Time


- Performs counseling and outreach services with emphasis on treatment of and outreach to graduate and professional students on that campus.
- Performs short-term individual counseling (6-8 sessions) and group therapy.
- Performs crisis intervention including rotating on-call pager duty.
- Evaluates prevention and intervention outcomes.
- Participates in weekly meetings with residence life staff and assistance in offering suicide prevention programming and student trainings.
- Performs significant outreach to the WTC University community.
-May supervise student therapists
- Provides early morning to evening hours. Some weekends.
- Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology; minimum of 1-3 years of experience, preferably at a university counseling or health center. Licenses: Licensed psychologist in the state of Illinois. License-eligible applicants with less experience may be considered.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology or related field.
- Prefer three years of experience at a university counseling or health center.
- Prefer three years experience in group therapy modality.
- Licensed psychologist, or license eligible, in the State of Illinois.
- Prefer experience working with foreign/international students.
- Must be familiar with electronic medical records systems (EMR).
