University Counseling Services of Boston College has openings for full time Staff or Senior Staff Psychologist or Staff Social Worker (Staff Clinicians). This is a full-time, 12-month positions. Benefits are excellent and the salary range is competitive with peer institutions. We are seeking a clinician with demonstrated skills and investment in working with diverse student populations, and in providing effective time limited individual and group therapy.  

University Counseling Services (UCS) is a vibrant and well-respected member of the university community. The mission of UCS is to address the mental health needs of the Boston College community, assisting students in the integration of the intellectual, emotional and spiritual dimensions of their lives. The staff of UCS provides a wide range of direct clinical services to a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students. The UCS staff also works with faculty, staff, and administrators in consultation, outreach and numerous collaborative initiatives. 

University Counseling Services is highly utilized with over 1,800 students receiving individual services each year. Counseling Services maintains close connections with the academic units of the university as well as with Student Affairs. The department enjoys strong working relationships with faculty, staff and administrators, as well as with various student groups. We work to be a welcoming and supportive resource to all students and the broader campus community.  

Diversity is highly valued by University Counseling Services, evidenced by the guiding work of our Diversity Committee and ongoing attention to themes of culturally responsible clinical practice. Each staff member is expected to contribute to the greater goals of the division and the university.  These contributions (outside of your primary work area) may include supporting division and university-wide initiatives, staffing events, and serving on committees as needed. Some of this work may take place on weekends and outside of normal business hours.

COMPENSATION

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:

For Senior Staff Psychologist:  $89,200 -$111,500

Staff Psychologist: $80,840 -$101,050

Staff Social Worker /Clinician: $75,160 -$93,950
