POSITION DESCRIPTION
Testing Psychologist Ph.D. (Part-Time):
This part-time (20 hours per week) Psychologist position at the Mary A. Rackham Institute (MARI) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the clinical service at both of MARI's mental health clinics, the University Center for the Child and the Family (UCCF), serving child and adolescent clients, and the University Psychological Clinic (Psych Clinic), serving adult clients. This position would collaborate with a psychometrician at MARI to provide assessment services.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in psychoeducational testing (ADHD, Learning Disabilities) and/or neuropsychological testing across the lifespan. Additionally, ideal candidates will have training and experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) testing or a strong interest in developing expertise in ASD testing.
Responsibilities:
- Direct assessment services to youth and adult clients (~80%)
- Timely completion of related clinical documentation and billing encounters (~15%)
- Collaboration: Potential time for meetings and/or consultation with other MARI staff, involvement in agency planning or initiatives (~5%)
Psychologist MA (Temporary):
UCCF is seeking to hire a licensed Master's level psychologist for part-time (10-20 hours per week), temporary work to support the mental health needs of our client base and to be part of the dynamic and supportive UCCF clinical team. We are seeking individuals with a strong background and training in evidence-based clinical work with youth with behavioral challenges and Autism Spectrum Disorder. One hour of clinical supervision with a licensed psychologist that is a member of UCCF's senior clinical staff will be provided as part of this position. We are looking for someone to fill this position from December 2023 or January 2024-September 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Direct assessment services to youth and adult clients (~80%)
- Timely completion of related clinical documentation and billing encounters (~18%)
- 1-hour monthly supervision with UCCF psychologist (~1%)
- Collaboration: Potential time for meetings and/or consultation with other MARI staff (~1%)
Post-MSW Fellow (Full-Time):
The Psychological Clinic at the University of Michigan is excited to offer a full-time, 12-month Post-MSW Graduate Fellowship. This is an advanced clinical training program beginning February 1, 2024 and ending January 31, 2025, with an opportunity to extend for a second year. The mission of this Post-MSW graduate training program is to advance practice competency, professionalism, and leadership in the field of clinical social work and is designed for a clinical social worker with a limited license (LLMSW) in the State of Michigan.
Responsibilities:
Our fellowships give MSW graduates further training and experience in evidence-based intervention as they prepare for licensure. Fellows provide direct clinical service with supervision from expert clinicians. They also participate in a core curriculum of seminars and clinical conferences, consult with other professionals, and have the opportunity to engage in community outreach. Infused throughout each internship are the following:

MARI is housed within the Rackham Graduate School and is comprised of three centers, Psych Clinic, which provides psychotherapy and evaluation services to adults, UCCF, which provides psychotherapy and evaluation services to youth and families, and the University Center for Language and Literacy (UCLL), which provides language and literacy evaluations and intervention services to youth and adults.
The MARI Mental Health Clinics (The Psych Clinic and UCCF) are multidisciplinary mental health clinics providing individual therapy, group therapy, couples therapy, family-based therapy and testing services to students, staff, and faculty at the University of Michigan, as well as members of the local community and southeast Michigan.
