Director of Counseling Services

LIM College in Manhattan, NY, invites inquiries, nominations, and applications for its next director of counseling services. This is an on-site leadership role and the anticipated start date is August/September 2024.

Reporting to the vice president for student affairs, the director of counseling services oversees the provision of services that address the mental health and wellbeing of students, including needs assessment and evaluation, individual and group counseling/psychotherapy, psychiatric referrals, and crisis intervention. The director collaborates with departments across the campus and with community partners to implement efforts to improve student wellbeing and belonging.

The salary range for the position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.

  • Three to five years' experience in counseling center administration
  • Licensed clinical social worker, licensed psychologist or licensed/board-certified psychiatrist
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and best practices concerning counseling/psychological services and immunization compliance
