The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) at the University of Florida is seeking an outreach coordinator with experience in collegiate mental health. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Outreach and Consultation of the Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC), the outreach coordinator is a clinical faculty member of the CWC and serves in a key role responsible for supporting the Center’s efforts in planning and providing leadership for all aspects of campus outreach, including both face-to-face and digital efforts. The outreach coordinator works collaboratively with Assistant Director of Outreach and Consultation assisting in policy drafting and planning. This person is responsible for supporting efforts in creating and maintaining relationships with other departments across campus to ensure that outreach and consultation efforts are compatible with other campus efforts and meeting the needs of the University of Florida (UF) students. The outreach coordinator provides timely responses to campus outreach requests by working with the outreach student assistant on a consistent basis. The outreach coordinator also supervises the AWARE graduate assistant and provides oversight to the AWARE Ambassadors program (for both the undergraduate and graduate level of the program), including recruiting, outreach efforts and budgeting needs.  In addition to these specific administrative duties, the job responsibilities include: providing individual, couples and group counseling, crisis intervention, campus consultation, outreach programs, case management, outreach/AWARE program administration, clinical supervision; professional training and teaching, scholarly activities (professional presentations, leadership, and publications) and performing administrative and committee responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Clinical Associate/Assistant Professors must (1) have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology or counseling from an APA or CACREP accredited doctoral program; and (2) be licensed as a mental health professional or psychologist in the state of Florida within two years of employment. Applicants who have completed all requirements for a doctoral degree within their respective program, with the exception of a doctoral dissertation/defense, are eligible to apply if the applicant will obtain said qualification within one (1) year of appointment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualities of the candidate include: 

·         Previous administrative experience in a university or college counseling center

·         Ability to handle complex crises and/or clinical situations and to provide related supervision, training, and consultation to a large multidisciplinary staff and faculty on an as needed basis

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking and organizational skills required to develop and maintain policies, procedures, and outreach delivery systems for the agency

·         Ability to work collaboratively, respectfully, and in a timely manner as part of a multidisciplinary team

·         Energy to flexibly manage the professional demands of a challenging workload while maintaining positive and healthy perspectives and relationships

·         Strong program development and evaluation skills required for outreach and consultation service tracking, outcome assessment, quality assurance and utilization review

·         Demonstrated sensitivity and commitment to multicultural issues/social justice and proven ability to interact with diverse individuals and groups

·         Self-motivated, self-directed commitment to high professional ideals, standards and ethics

·         Strong interest and experience with training and supervising students from various disciplines at the master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral level 

COMPENSATION

Starting Salary $75,000 negotiable based on years of experience.
