Position Function:* The Assistant Director for Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating crisis response and the hospitalization protocol/procedure, facilitating clinical meetings, serving as the first administrator to respond to crisis calls as needed, and providing and facilitating crisis assessment. The Assistant Director for Clinical Operations provides supervision to trainees and the Triage Coordinator. This position reports to the Director of Student Counseling Services in the Division of Student Affairs and is a 12-month position.
Essential duties and responsibilities:*

1. Oversee and coordinate crisis response
2. Oversee and coordinate the hospitalization protocol/procedure
3. Collaborate with campus partners regarding crisis response and clinical operations
4. Develops and maintain Clinical-on-duty and on-call schedule each semester
5. Provide individual, couples, and group counseling, in addition to other client-based service delivery to a small caseload of no more than 5-8 clients
6. Provide direct and clinical supervision to Triage Coordinator and trainees
7. Facilitate clinical meetings, in addition to participate in other meetings related to this office
8. Respond to on-call crisis as the first administrator as needed
9. Assist with supervising clinical staff seeking licensure as needed
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisor Responsibility:
The Assistant Director of Clinical Operations supervises trainees and Triage Coordinator. 

Knowledge, skills and abilities: 1. Experience in working with crisis assessment
2. Ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally
3. Knowledge and adherence to ethical standards endorsed by licensing professional organization
4. Ability to provide leadership and maintain a cohesive team environment
5. Ability to multitask in fast paced work environment and adapt to changing priorirties
Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 1. Work is performed primarily in a temperature controlled indoor facility
2. Job frequently requires sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing
3. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, climbing or balancing g, stooping, kneeling/crouching/crawling, handling objects with hands, and lifting 25 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
Five years of clinical experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master of Clinical Mental Health or a related field
2. Ability to be licensed as a clinical supervisor in the State of Mississippi
3. Experience providing clinical supervision and serving in a clinical consultative roll
