POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Full Time

Social Work Post-Masters Fellowships are for candidates who have completed a Master's degree in Social Work and who need supervised clinical experience to obtain licensure. The positions provide direct clinical services including screening services, intake, individual and group psychotherapy, behavioral health interventions in the Medical Services clinic, telehealth services and crisis intervention to students attending the University of Colorado Boulder. Training for Social Work Fellows includes regular seminars on specific mental health topics, weekly group supervision and 90 minutes of weekly individual supervision with an LCSW. Additionally, Social Work Fellows attend a weekly group therapy training seminar and will co-facilitate one therapy group each semester. All Fellows also attend Counseling & Psych Services (CAPS) staff meetings and trainings. The ideal candidate is a recent MSW graduate who has an educational background in evidenced based psychotherapy practices and whose goal is to acquire the necessary supervised clinical experience/hours for licensure. The candidate should also have clinical experience providing direct psychotherapy services including crisis intervention and group therapy. CAPS provides psychotherapy services in a brief therapy model in a multidisciplinary setting, thus we are looking for Fellows who can thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team, be familiar with electronic medical records, and be comfortable with managing a busy and demanding clinical schedule. Additionally, this position provides experience in group psychotherapy, transcare, behavioral health and AOD treatment.

This is a two-year appointment, anticipated to start on 8/4/2025. It is a full-time, year-round position, and work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid modality, with options for limited remote work available.

The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
