with students from diverse backgrounds and will gain supervised
experience in each of the following areas: Brief individual
psychotherapy, group therapy, intake assessment, case management, crisis
intervention and emergency services, consultation, and inclusive
outreach programming. The Vassar College Counseling Service has a
strong group therapy program and typically offers 8-10 groups per
semester. The fellow will be expected to co-facilitate two therapy
groups with staff. Some evening and weekend hours should be expected,
especially involving crisis intervention and outreach activities.
Supervision:
Both individual and group supervision will be provided by licensed
psychologists and social workers who are staff members in the Counseling
Service.
