Alfred University's Wellness Center is seeking regional candidates for a full-time (10 month) counselor to join our integrated center in the Fall 2017. The successful candidate will demonstrate broad generalist clinical skills, display an ability to manage a caseload typical of college counseling services, be adept at crisis intervention, and be committed to providing high quality therapeutic services to college students.

Responsibilities include intake and assessment, providing brief therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, group counseling, outreach programming, and after hours availability for on-call response as necessary to provide assistance and support in case of individual student or campus-wide emergencies.


An earned Master's Degree in counseling, clinical psychology or social work.  At least one year experience as a mental health clinician.


Candidates who are active, with unrestricted New York State license or are license eligible and have university/college counseling experience will be given preference.
