The Clinical Case Manager promotes the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students by providing clinical case management, referral assistance, crisis intervention, consultation, outreach, and participation in rotation of after-hours emergency coverage. The Clinical Case Manager also assists with the Counseling Center’s training program, and participates in activities throughout the university.

The Counseling Center operates within the Office of Campus Life and is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS). The Counseling Center has a rich training program, including an APA-Accredited predoctoral internship program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required. Licensed or license-eligible as a Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or other relevant licensure in the District of Columbia at the time of hire.

One year of case management experience in a mental health setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Strong preference given to candidates 2+ years post-licensure with case management experience in a college/university counseling center.

* Understanding of human development and the promotion of healthy growth.

* Strong professional interest and experience working with a diverse student population including students of color, international students, students with disabilities, and first generation college students.

* Experience in providing referrals and case management with severe or potentially life-threatening psychological conditions.
