The staff psychologist provides direct clinical services, The staff
psychologist provides direct clinical services, supervises trainees,
plans and delivers outreach, and consults with staff and faculty. S/he
participates in overall mission of promoting healthy psychological
development for IIT students. This
position also will have a special emphasis on coordinating our outreach
program, with mentoring and support from the Clinical Coordinator.
The primary focus of this position is the provision of direct clinical
services including intake assessments, crisis/triage assessments,
referrals, and individual and group sessions. Administrative roles and
special projects may also be required depending on the needs Student
Health and Wellness Center. This position may involve weekend and
evening duties including carrying an on-call pager that is rotated among
requires excellent written and verbal communication. This will include
the ability to write case notes and intake reports within professional
standards. Verbal communication will also be central in providing
psychotherapy to IIT students. This job will involve communication with IIT students, staff, faculty and with the parents of students.
This position involves providing clinical services to IIT students, and consultation to staff, faculty and the parents of students.
This position involves occasional weekend and
evening hours for outreach and clinical coverage. This position will
also carry an on call pager that is rotated among staff. A pager is
rotated among staff for 24 hour crisis consultation services to staff
and faculty who may be concerned about a student. You may be asked to
come to campus outside of business hours to respond to a
crisis/consultation. Extended hours or weekend duties are required and
will be divided among counseling staff.
This position involves providing 1 hour per week of direct
supervision to 1-2 psychology graduate student externs and 1 hour of
group supervision to 4 psychology externs.
