Keene State College invites applicants for a Staff Counselor/Substance Abuse Specialist in the Counseling Center to provide behavioral and mental health services to enrolled students and all related case management. This is a 10 month benefited position with normal appointment dates from August to May each year. The successful candidate will join a dedicated staff of 5 counselors, 7 graduate-level interns, and 1 administrative support staff.
The Counseling Center is an integral unit within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at KSC and enjoys strong support from the college as a whole. As a primary institutional initiative, the College is in an exciting period of growth and change in the area of alcohol and other drug prevention/intervention, and we seek a professional who is looking to apply their skills in a flexible, creative, and collaborative way. Primary responsibilities include: Providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, initial evaluations, consultation services to staff, faculty, and administrators, clinical supervision to interns, crisis intervention, and outreach/programmatic services, with specialization in substance abuse concerns.
