Central Washington University – Ellensburg, WA, Student Medical & Counseling Clinic is recruiting candidates for an 11-month staff psychologist. The Clinic serves a diverse student body of approximately 11,000 graduate and undergraduate students and has a doctoral internship program that is APA accredited. Our Clinic is a combined medical & counseling clinic valuing a multi-disciplinary approach. Counseling and medical staff work closely and collegially with one another as well as other university offices. The Counseling Clinic at CWU values the unique contribution of every staff member and recognizes the richness created when people from diverse backgrounds and experiences come together to work toward the common goals of serving our students and training future psychologists.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • PhD. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or combined program.
  • Successful completion of a supervised doctoral internship
  • License eligible in Washington State by start date; Continuation of employment is contingent upon obtaining Washington State Licensure as a Psychologist within 24 months of hire date.
  • Experience and proven competency working with multicultural and other diverse populations.
  • Ability to provide brief and focused counseling.
  • Experience facilitating counseling groups.
  • Experience providing risk assessment and crisis response.
  • Experience working as part of a collaborative, team-based approach to clinical services in a fast-paced work setting.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or combined program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
    • Successful completion of a doctoral internship accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) with a minimum of 2000 hours.
    • Professional counseling experience working in a university/college counseling center.
    • Education, training and experience in providing:

    -         A variety of workshops, outreach presentations and training for students and staff development.

    -         Clinical supervision to doctoral interns.

    -         Psychodiagnostic and personality assessment.
