Kent State University seeks to fill a position on our treatment team for a Mental Health Provider on the Kent campus.  The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) office is part of the Division of Student Life and is dedicated to building a caring and supportive staff committed to serving Kent State University students and providing consultation to the university community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Candidates must possess the education and experience required to obtain one of the following: Licensure in the State of Ohio as a psychologist; Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW); or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Two years of experience in a clinical setting. This is a 12-month full-time position that requires flexible work hours, and the salary is commensurate with experience and licensure status.  Both experienced and early career clinicians are encouraged to apply.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates with experience working in a university counseling center with counseling college and/or high school-aged populations. Experience with electronic medical records. Experience and capability to work as part of a highly cohesive and multidisciplinary team in a university counseling center and with professionals in other campus units. Effective interpersonal skills that facilitate organizational health.
