This full-time (40 hours per week) Psychologist position at the Psychological Clinic (Psych Clinic) at the Mary A. Rackham Institute (MARI) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Psych Clinic’s clinical service and training programs. You will have two primary roles at the Psych Clinic: (1) clinical training and supervision for psychology and social work trainees, and (2) direct clinical services to adult clients at the Psych Clinic (psychotherapy as well as options for psychoeducational and/or ASD assessment). We are looking for applicants who would be able to provide and supervise Couples Therapy services as well as psychotherapy services for common adult mental health concerns. The preferred start date for this position is August 1, 2026.
You should have a strong background in evidence-based clinical service and experience providing clinical supervision. Additionally, you should have significant clinical experience with evidence-based Couples Therapy interventions. Other areas of clinical expertise that would be desirable in a candidate include: psychotherapy tailored for neurodivergent individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ or BIPOC communities, mood disorders, and/or prenatal and perinatal mental health concerns. We desire but do not require that you work from theoretical frameworks that complement our clinical senior staff team. These desired frameworks include: Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Family Systems approaches, and/or Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Experience with testing for ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder testing is also desired but not required.

Monitor clinical care of clients seen by supervisees
Structure activities of the supervisee to help ensure the provision of competent services
Facilitate trainees’ professional development
Provide formative and summative evaluation of the supervisee's clinical work and professional behavior
$105,016.00 - $152,442.00
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
