POSITION DESCRIPTION
The UW-Stevens Point Counseling Center is seeking a mental
health Counselor (LPC, LMFT, LCSW). This position is under the direct
supervision of the Director of Counseling Center. The candidate who accepts
this position will provide professional mental health therapy and consultation
services for the campus community, incorporate a brief therapeutic model to
address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, create developmental
programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus,
and provide input and advocacy for university mental health policy and
initiatives.

Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus
Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
The
UW-Stevens Point Counseling Center is currently staffed by 6 permanent
clinicians including the director. Our primary function is to provide
individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and crises response to UW-Stevens
Point students and education and prevention programming to the campus at large.
