Premier Sport Psychology (PSP) is expanding! We’re looking for a Master’s-level Athletic Counselor (LPC, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) who’s passionate about helping athletes, performers, and teams thrive—on and off the field.

This role blends mental health counseling and performance consulting, serving clients from youth athletes to Division I student-athletes through private practice in Edina and on-site work with Gopher Athletics at the University of Minnesota.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide individual and team counseling focused on both mental health and performance goals.
  • Conduct assessments, therapy, and crisis interventions in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • Design and lead workshops and team sessions for athletes, coaches, and staff.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team—physicians, trainers, dietitians, and sport psychiatrists.
  • Represent Premier and the Gophers with professionalism, creativity, and care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


What We're Looking For:

  • Licensed (or license-eligible) in Minnesota within 3 months (LPC, LPCC, LMFT, or LICSW)
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology (APA-accredited program preferred)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends for events or team schedules
  • Passion for youth and collegiate athletics, and a team-first mindset
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bonus Points For:

  • CMPC certification (or working toward it.
  • Experience in applied sport psychology, collegiate athletics, or performance coaching
  • Expertise with youth athletes (ages 8–17) and/or specialized experience (e.g., trauma, eating concerns, substance use)
