Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Clinical Services is a CSDC Leadership Team member who manages all clinical service provision. They collaborate with the Director on strategic planning to ensure inclusive, high-quality services consistent with a residential liberal arts setting. Duties include: managing the Titanium client database and reports; conducting psychological evaluations; providing brief therapy (individual/group), crisis intervention, consultation, and community programming; assisting the Director with staff and trainee supervision; and assuming the Director's duties in their absence.

Work Setting:

We embrace a limited hybrid model for this role, though we prioritize an in-office environment to maximize collaboration and integration with the team. Candidates should plan to work on-site for 90% or more of the time. We're happy to discuss the specifics of the flexible arrangement during the interview process.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, exempt role, working 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

What You Will Do:

Administrative and Strategic Leadership: Key member of the CSDC Leadership Team, participating in the development and implementation of the center's strategic direction. This role provides comprehensive direction and coordination for all clinical services, including assessment, individual and group counseling, referral processes, consultation, and crisis intervention schedules. They serve as a crucial clinical consultant for staff and trainees on case disposition, crisis management, and hospitalizations, while ensuring quality assurance by maintaining and updating the clinical policies and procedures manual to reflect best practices and legal compliance. The Associate Director coordinates significant data collection and reporting, including the Standardized Data Set and Client Satisfaction Survey, provides utilization updates to the Director, screens clinical research proposals, and completes the comprehensive annual report. Additionally, they coordinate the weekly case conference and assume the Director's responsibilities during their absence.
Clinical Services: Provides direct clinical services to students, including brief individual and group psychotherapy, initial assessments, and both daytime and after-hours crisis coverage and consultation, with the ability to facilitate referrals to off-campus providers when necessary. A key responsibility is maintaining accurate clinical records and necessary statistics of all therapeutic and client contacts in adherence to departmental policies. Furthermore, the role involves consulting with psychiatrists regarding policies and procedures for prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medication, as well as consulting with parents, physicians, faculty, deans, residence life staff, and external counseling services, all while strictly adhering to appropriate authorization protocols to ensure the delivery of quality student care.
Community-Based Collaborations and Consultations: Conducts outreach and developmental programming, as requested, including firesides, orientation sessions for new students and families, workshop presentations and emergency support services to the campus community.
Supervision and Miscellaneous: Provides direct supervision of master's level clinicians (LPC and LCSW) and assists the Director with full-time employment supervision, including performance reviews and management. Additionally, the role involves active participation in Student Affairs committees as consulted with or assigned by the Director, along with attendance and participation in regular CSDC staff meetings and in-service training.

What You Will Bring:
Required:

Master's Degree in Social Work; Clinical Counseling Psychology, or related field.
Five (5) or more years post-licensure experience in the mental health field.
Licensures & Certifications: Acceptable licenses include PhD, PsyD, LPC, LCSW or LMFT.

Preferred, But Not Required:

Demonstrated experience utilizing the Titanium Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system or similar electronic health record software.
Two (2) or more years of administrative experience essential for coordinating clinical services, maintaining quality assurance, and assisting the Director with strategic planning and risk management.

Additional Job Information:

Requires after-hours accessibility and participation in an on-call weekend rotation, including providing support and consultation to on-call staff. Ability to monitor and respond to work emails on weekends during the academic year to address student needs promptly.

Physical Requirements:

Able to move equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds; Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time; Sit or stand at a computer and use a mouse/keyboard for long periods of time; Able to move about the office to access file cabinets and office equipment such as phones, copiers and printers; Able to work in an environment with a moderate level of interruptions.

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.

This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
