POSITION DESCRIPTION
I. Position Status
This is a full-time position on a 12-month contract. From June 1 through May 31, the role operates on a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday). Exceptionally limited after-hours and weekend work is required.
II. Primary Function
To provide a comprehensive range of mental health services to students at Bellarmine University; coordinate and oversee clinical services and training programs; serve as a key resource and consultant for families, faculty, and administration; and support the Director in the strategic management and operations of the Counseling Center.
III. Essential Responsibilities
- Provide direct mental health services to students at Bellarmine University including short-term psychotherapy, crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, and referral.
- Administrative duties (case notes, review of supervisee notes and video, program planning, triage coverage, review of reports, report writing, etc.).
- Conduct outreach education and programs with various student groups and broader campus community (RA training, sexual assault prevention, student orientation, eating disorder prevention, suicide prevention training).
- Provide consultation to faculty, staff, students, and parents.
- Provide clinical supervision and training to practicum students.
- Coordinate practicum training program.
- Co-manage the electronic medical records system for the center.
- Coordinate clinical case assignments.
- Manage the center's website and service promotion.
- Provide after-hours crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with other campus providers in coordination of treatment for students with disordered eating and other acute clinical concerns.
- Assist with program development, research, and evaluation.
- Assist with strategic planning and outcome assessment.
- Provide administrative oversight of the center in the absence of the Director.
- Serve on university committees or projects as assigned.
- Assist with grant applications and management.
- Other administrative duties as assigned
