The University Health Center at the University of Georgia is pleased to offer a full-time position for Assistant Director of Training.  The Assistant Director of Training is an essential member of the CAPS/Fontaine Center leadership team. Reporting to the Sr. Associate Director of Clinical Services and Training, this leadership position’s primary focus will be on the continued development and implementation of a strategic vision for, and oversight of, all the aspects of the various training programs offered at CAPS, including our American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral internship program, and our Advanced Doctoral practicum and Social Work practicum programs.

In addition, this position will be responsible for delivering direct services to students while also overseeing and coordinating the supervision of trainees at all stages of their training. In collaboration with other members of the CAPS/Fontaine Leadership team, this position ensures compliance with Joint Commission Standards; engages in multidisciplinary consultation teams; creatively develops cutting-edge training opportunities; and assists in monitoring client assignment and referral.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctorate in Psychology from an APA accredited program and completion of an APA accredited internship (or equivalent).
  • Licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Georgia by the date of first employment.
  • Four years’ experience in evaluation and treatment of individuals whose age and psychological development are like those of our population (i.e. late adolescence through middle age) is required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two years’ experience in an administrative or supervisory role.
  • Three years’ experience providing clinical supervision within a formal training program.
  • One-year experience directing or coordinating practicum student, intern, and/or post-doctoral fellow training.
  • Four or more years’ experience in the evaluation and treatment of individuals whose age and psychological development are similar to traditional and non-traditional college students.
  • AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required after start date.
  • Background working with disorders typically seen at university counseling centers.
  • Background working in a multidisciplinary setting.

 
COMPENSATION

The annual salary for this position is $92,000, commensurate with experience.
