The University of Chicago announces an opening for a full-time (benefits-eligible) Staff Psychiatrist to join Student Wellness Mental Health Services. Student Wellness at UChicago includes a robust Counseling and Psychiatry Clinic with a long tradition of excellence. Located in historic Hyde Park, Chicago, the University of Chicago is a destination for bright and engaged students, faculty, and staff, all of whom contribute to the university’s vibrant and unique culture.
The Staff Psychiatrist is an integral member of the Mental Health Services multidisciplinary team of clinicians, providing direct routine and emergent psychiatric care to students and consulting with Student Wellness staff. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in medicine and will have completed, by start date, an accredited residency in psychiatry, be board certified or board-eligible in psychiatry, and be medically licensed in Illinois. Candidates must also share our commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population of university students.
