POSITION DESCRIPTION



Assistant Director for Diversity and Social Justice
Counseling Services at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill a full-time Assistant Director for Diversity and Social Justice position.

SUNY Oswego Counseling Services (CS) offers multi-disciplinary, comprehensive, and diverse services to students that enable them to be more successful in their academic, personal, and career pursuits. CS is IACS accredited and hosts masters-level graduate trainees and counselor education doctoral-level trainees for clinical internships from accredited education programs.

CS' efforts focus on helping students reduce psychological symptoms, cope with life events and developmental tasks, improve interpersonal skills and relationships, and increase self-knowledge. CS promotes equity and respect for individual and cultural differences and offers consulting services to the entire University community. CS is part of the Division of Student Affairs, which contributes to and facilitates critical learning and development within healthy, inclusive, and supportive communities.

Reporting to the Director of Counseling Services, the Assistant Director for Diversity and Social Justice is an integral part of the CS' Leadership Team, contributes to SUNY Oswego's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives through a focus on engaging and collaborating with students and university partners; and provides direct clinical services to students. The work of the Assistant Director for Diversity and Social Justice supports the University's mission and vision of comprehensive well-being services for students, as well as the strategic initiatives of the University and the Division of Student Affairs to ensure student success.

Compensation: SL Level: 4; Salary levels, Minimum salary: $75,000, salary offer will be commensurate with experience
